Emma Millington, Modular
Workshop title: Remember the Humans
Workshop Summary
In modern times it is easy to be swept up and consumed by the vast array of emerging technologies.
The pressure to be at the front of the race is huge.
Yet, as we move deeper into this brave new world, it is really important we think about how we balance the tech with human needs.
Times are already changing.
We not only have a duty of care to ensure we act responsibly and consciously and consider who our products are for and what impact they have on a wider scale, we need to turbo our uniqueness as a brand but remain authentic and aligned with our audiences and customers.
Human centred products have proven time and again to have massive brand clout, so at market they are stronger, more engaging, foster higher levels of brand loyalty, advocacy and ultimately revenue.
Human centred brands make waves. Knock their rivals off the top spot. Disrupt sectors.
So before we steam ahead with a new product, be it a website or app, I like to throw in a strong “Whoa there, cheech” or a nice firm “Hold your horses”.
We need to take a pause and “Remember the Humans”
In my talk I will be exploring how and why we need to remember the humans in our brand, marketing, comms, products and services.
